To be eligible for appointment as a Shift Supervisor - Juvenile Supervision Officer, a person must:
- Meet San Patricio County employment guidelines.
- Be of good moral character.
- Be emotionally suited for working with resident/children.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- At least 1 year of college credit in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or related field or 2 years of working with emotionally disturbed and/or violent children or chemically dependent children.
- Have acquired at least a high school diploma or GED.
- Must obtain JSO certification within the first six months from the date of hire.
- Must maintain the level of re-certification required by TJJD every two years.
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts; that include weekends, holidays, oncall, and rotating day and night shifts.
Job Type: Full-time.
Pay: From $4,194.93 per month.
